Barangay Carlosa

Barangay Carlosa is a small barangay in the municipality of Calatagan, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Carlosa had a population of 1,524. This made it the 17th largest of 25 barangays in Calatagan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Carlosa accounted for approximately 2.60% of the total population of Calatagan, which stood at 58,719 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Carlosa moving from 1,414 residents to 1,524 residents, an intercensal change of +7.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Carlosa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
