Barangay 2 (Pob.)

Situated in Camalig, Albay, Barangay 2 (Pob.) is one of 50 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 2 (Pob.) had a population of 438. This made it the 45th largest of 50 barangays in Camalig by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 2 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 0.61% of the total population of Camalig, which stood at 72,042 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 2 (Pob.) changed from 407 to 438, a shift of +7.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Camalig. Barangay 2 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Camalig is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 2 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
