Barangay 3 (Pob.)

Barangay 3 (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Camalig, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 3 (Pob.) had a population of 587. This made it the 41st largest of 50 barangays in Camalig by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 3 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 0.81% of the total population of Camalig, which stood at 72,042 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 3 (Pob.) changed from 534 to 587, a shift of +9.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Camalig. Barangay 3 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Camalig is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 3 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay 3 (Pob.) ranks 643rd by 2020 population.
