Barangay Pariaan

Barangay Pariaan forms part of Camalig, a municipality in Albay, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pariaan had a population of 785. This made it the 32nd largest of 50 barangays in Camalig by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pariaan accounted for approximately 1.09% of the total population of Camalig, which stood at 72,042 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pariaan moving from 863 residents to 785 residents, an intercensal change of -9.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Pariaan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Camalig is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pariaan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
