Barangay Kinatihan I

Situated in Candelaria, Quezon, Barangay Kinatihan I is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kinatihan I had a population of 2,071. This made it the 21st largest of 25 barangays in Candelaria by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kinatihan I accounted for approximately 1.50% of the total population of Candelaria, which stood at 137,881 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,732 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,071 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +19.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Kinatihan I is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
