This made it the 16th largest of 25 barangays in Candelaria by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Masalukot II accounted for approximately 2.19% of the total population of Candelaria, which stood at 137,881 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,450 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,017 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +23.1%, consistent with a growing settlement.
