Barangay Balibago

Situated in Cardona, Rizal, Barangay Balibago is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Balibago had a population of 1,581. This made it the 12th largest of 18 barangays in Cardona by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balibago accounted for approximately 3.15% of the total population of Cardona, which stood at 50,143 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balibago moving from 1,839 residents to 1,581 residents, an intercensal change of -14.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Balibago as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
