Barangay Del Remedio (Pob.)

Barangay Del Remedio (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Cardona, located in the province of Rizal, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Del Remedio (Pob.) had a population of 2,360. This made it the 8th largest of 18 barangays in Cardona by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Del Remedio (Pob.) accounted for approximately 4.71% of the total population of Cardona, which stood at 50,143 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,074 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,360 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Del Remedio (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cardona is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Del Remedio (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Rizal, which contains 189 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Del Remedio (Pob.) ranks 139th by 2020 population.
