Barangay Manlot

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Manlot is one of the administrative divisions of Carles in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Manlot had a population of 903. This made it the 32nd largest of 33 barangays in Carles by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manlot accounted for approximately 1.24% of the total population of Carles, which stood at 72,637 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 903 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 903 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of 0.0%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Manlot as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Carles is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manlot, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Manlot ranks 854th by 2020 population.
