Barangay Dangcol

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Dangcol is one of the administrative divisions of City of Balanga in Bataan, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dangcol had a population of 1,776. This made it the 22nd largest of 25 barangays in City of Balanga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Dangcol accounted for approximately 1.70% of the total population of City of Balanga, which stood at 104,173 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,784 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,776 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.4%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. Barangay Dangcol is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Balanga is a city comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dangcol, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bataan, which contains 237 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dangcol ranks 161st by 2020 population.
