Barangay Ali-is

Barangay Ali-is forms part of City of Bayawan, a city in Negros Oriental, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ali-is had a population of 2,980. This made it the 17th largest of 28 barangays in City of Bayawan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ali-is changed from 2,771 to 2,980, a shift of +7.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Bayawan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ali-is as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Bayawan is a city comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ali-is, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
