Barangay Mandu-ao

Barangay Mandu-ao forms part of City of Bayawan, a city in Negros Oriental, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mandu-ao had a population of 4,780. This made it the 11th largest of 28 barangays in City of Bayawan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Mandu-ao accounted for approximately 3.89% of the total population of City of Bayawan, which stood at 122,747 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mandu-ao moving from 4,581 residents to 4,780 residents, an intercensal change of +4.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mandu-ao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
