Barangay Minaba

Barangay Minaba is a mid-sized barangay in the city of City of Bayawan, located in the province of Negros Oriental, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Minaba had a population of 2,890. This made it the 19th largest of 28 barangays in City of Bayawan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Minaba accounted for approximately 2.35% of the total population of City of Bayawan, which stood at 122,747 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Minaba moving from 2,481 residents to 2,890 residents, an intercensal change of +16.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Minaba as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Bayawan is a city comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Minaba, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
