Barangay Boyco forms part of City of Bayawan, a city in Negros Oriental, and is classified as a small barangay.

City of Bayawan is a city comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Boyco, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
