Barangay Tinago (Pob.)

Barangay Tinago (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the city of City of Bayawan, located in the province of Negros Oriental, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tinago (Pob.) had a population of 3,191. This made it the 16th largest of 28 barangays in City of Bayawan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Tinago (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.60% of the total population of City of Bayawan, which stood at 122,747 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,276 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,191 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tinago (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Bayawan is a city comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tinago (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Oriental, which contains 557 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tinago (Pob.) ranks 147th by 2020 population.
