Barangay Poblacion No. 2

Barangay Poblacion No. 2 forms part of City of Dumaguete, a city in Negros Oriental, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion No. 2 had a population of 1,055. This made it the 25th largest of 30 barangays in City of Dumaguete by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Poblacion No. 2 accounted for approximately 0.79% of the total population of City of Dumaguete, which stood at 134,103 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,336 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,055 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -21.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Poblacion No. 2 is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Dumaguete is a city comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion No. 2, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
