Barangay Poblacion No. 4

Barangay Poblacion No. 4 is a very small barangay in the City of Dumaguete, located in the province of Negros Oriental, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion No. 4 had a population of 225. This made it the 27th largest of 30 barangays in City of Dumaguete by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Poblacion No. 4 accounted for approximately 0.17% of the total population of City of Dumaguete, which stood at 134,103 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion No. 4 changed from 135 to 225, a shift of +66.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Dumaguete. Barangay Poblacion No. 4 is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Dumaguete is a city comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion No. 4, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Oriental, which contains 557 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Poblacion No. 4 ranks 553rd by 2020 population.
