Barangay II (Pob.)

Barangay II (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the City of Himamaylan, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay II (Pob.) had a population of 3,039. This made it the 17th largest of 19 barangays in City of Himamaylan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay II (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.61% of the total population of City of Himamaylan, which stood at 116,240 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,792 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,039 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +8.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay II (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Himamaylan is a city comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay II (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay II (Pob.) ranks 332nd by 2020 population.
