Barangay Carabalan

Situated in City of Himamaylan, Negros Occidental, Barangay Carabalan is one of 19 barangays that make up the city within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Carabalan had a population of 12,786. This made it the 1st largest of 19 barangays in City of Himamaylan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Carabalan accounted for approximately 11.00% of the total population of City of Himamaylan, which stood at 116,240 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Carabalan changed from 10,088 to 12,786, a shift of +26.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Himamaylan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Carabalan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Himamaylan is a city comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Carabalan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
