Barangay Amazion

Barangay Amazion forms part of City of Kidapawan, a city in Cotabato, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Amazion had a population of 1,354. This made it the 35th largest of 40 barangays in City of Kidapawan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Amazion accounted for approximately 0.84% of the total population of City of Kidapawan, which stood at 160,791 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,210 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,354 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Amazion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Kidapawan is a city comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Amazion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cotabato, which contains 543 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Amazion ranks 355th by 2020 population.
