Barangay Ginatilan

Barangay Ginatilan is a mid-sized barangay in the City of Kidapawan, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ginatilan had a population of 2,023. This made it the 22nd largest of 40 barangays in City of Kidapawan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Ginatilan accounted for approximately 1.26% of the total population of City of Kidapawan, which stood at 160,791 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,476 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,023 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +37.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Ginatilan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Kidapawan is a city comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ginatilan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cotabato, which contains 543 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ginatilan ranks 235th by 2020 population.
