Barangay Nagasi

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Nagasi is one of the administrative divisions of City of La Carlota in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nagasi had a population of 3,459. This made it the 11th largest of 14 barangays in City of La Carlota by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Nagasi accounted for approximately 5.19% of the total population of City of La Carlota, which stood at 66,664 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nagasi changed from 3,825 to 3,459, a shift of -9.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of La Carlota. Barangay Nagasi is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of La Carlota is a city comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nagasi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Nagasi ranks 290th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
