Barangay Abella

Barangay Abella is a large barangay in the City of Naga, located in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Abella had a population of 5,757. This made it the 15th largest of 27 barangays in City of Naga by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Abella accounted for approximately 2.75% of the total population of City of Naga, which stood at 209,170 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Abella changed from 4,788 to 5,757, a shift of +20.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Naga. Barangay Abella is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Naga is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Abella, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Abella ranks 38th by 2020 population.
