Barangay Calauag

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Calauag is one of the administrative divisions of City of Naga in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calauag had a population of 11,295. This made it the 5th largest of 27 barangays in City of Naga by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Calauag accounted for approximately 5.40% of the total population of City of Naga, which stood at 209,170 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 11,513 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 11,295 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.9%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calauag as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Naga is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calauag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Calauag ranks 7th by 2020 population. Camarines Sur is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Calauag is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
