Barangay Sapang Buho

Barangay Sapang Buho is a mid-sized barangay in the City of Palayan, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sapang Buho had a population of 4,496. This made it the 2nd largest of 19 barangays in City of Palayan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Sapang Buho accounted for approximately 9.91% of the total population of City of Palayan, which stood at 45,383 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sapang Buho moving from 3,892 residents to 4,496 residents, an intercensal change of +15.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Sapang Buho is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Palayan is a city comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sapang Buho, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
