Barangay Poblacion II

Barangay Poblacion II is a large barangay in the City of Sagay, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion II had a population of 10,015. This made it the 4th largest of 25 barangays in City of Sagay by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Poblacion II accounted for approximately 6.73% of the total population of City of Sagay, which stood at 148,894 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 10,359 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 10,015 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Poblacion II is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Sagay is a city comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion II, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
