Barangay Cabawan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Cabawan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tagbilaran in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabawan had a population of 2,173. This made it the 15th largest of 15 barangays in City of Tagbilaran by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Cabawan accounted for approximately 2.07% of the total population of City of Tagbilaran, which stood at 104,976 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cabawan changed from 1,734 to 2,173, a shift of +25.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Tagbilaran. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabawan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tagbilaran is a city comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
