Barangay Poblacion I

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Poblacion I is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tagbilaran in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion I had a population of 2,926. This made it the 14th largest of 15 barangays in City of Tagbilaran by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Poblacion I accounted for approximately 2.79% of the total population of City of Tagbilaran, which stood at 104,976 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,057 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,926 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Poblacion I is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Tagbilaran is a city comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion I, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
