Barangay Cabaruan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Cabaruan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Urdaneta in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabaruan had a population of 2,353. This made it the 25th largest of 34 barangays in City of Urdaneta by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Cabaruan accounted for approximately 1.63% of the total population of City of Urdaneta, which stood at 144,577 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cabaruan changed from 2,281 to 2,353, a shift of +3.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Urdaneta. Barangay Cabaruan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Urdaneta is a city comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabaruan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
