Barangay Consolacion

Situated in City of Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Barangay Consolacion is one of 34 barangays that make up the city within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Consolacion had a population of 1,750. This made it the 28th largest of 34 barangays in City of Urdaneta by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Consolacion accounted for approximately 1.21% of the total population of City of Urdaneta, which stood at 144,577 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,585 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,750 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Consolacion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Urdaneta is a city comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Consolacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Consolacion ranks 761st by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
