Barangay Bacsil

Barangay Bacsil forms part of Dingras, a municipality in Ilocos Norte, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bacsil had a population of 878. This made it the 21st largest of 31 barangays in Dingras by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bacsil accounted for approximately 2.19% of the total population of Dingras, which stood at 40,127 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 837 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 878 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bacsil as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dingras is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bacsil, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
