Situated in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Baresbes is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Baresbes had a population of 2,036. This made it the 4th largest of 31 barangays in Dingras by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baresbes accounted for approximately 5.07% of the total population of Dingras, which stood at 40,127 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,998 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,036 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.9%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Baresbes as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
