Barangay Foz

Situated in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Foz is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Foz had a population of 915. This made it the 20th largest of 31 barangays in Dingras by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Foz accounted for approximately 2.28% of the total population of Dingras, which stood at 40,127 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Foz changed from 874 to 915, a shift of +4.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dingras. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Foz as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dingras is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Foz, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ilocos Norte, which contains 559 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Foz ranks 303rd by 2020 population.
