Barangay Dancel (Pob.)

Barangay Dancel (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Dingras, located in the province of Ilocos Norte, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dancel (Pob.) had a population of 654. This made it the 29th largest of 31 barangays in Dingras by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dancel (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.63% of the total population of Dingras, which stood at 40,127 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dancel (Pob.) changed from 570 to 654, a shift of +14.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dingras. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dancel (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dingras is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dancel (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
