Barangay Dapdap

Barangay Dapdap forms part of Dolores, a municipality in Eastern Samar, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dapdap had a population of 2,935. This made it the 2nd largest of 46 barangays in Dolores by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dapdap accounted for approximately 6.58% of the total population of Dolores, which stood at 44,626 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dapdap moving from 2,750 residents to 2,935 residents, an intercensal change of +6.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Dapdap is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dolores is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dapdap, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
