Barangay Lapuan

Situated in Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental, Barangay Lapuan is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lapuan had a population of 5,061. This made it the 2nd largest of 15 barangays in Don Marcelino by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lapuan accounted for approximately 11.11% of the total population of Don Marcelino, which stood at 45,540 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lapuan changed from 4,944 to 5,061, a shift of +2.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Don Marcelino. Barangay Lapuan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
