Barangay Lawa (Pob.)

Situated in Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental, Barangay Lawa (Pob.) is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lawa (Pob.) had a population of 4,041. This made it the 3rd largest of 15 barangays in Don Marcelino by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lawa (Pob.) accounted for approximately 8.87% of the total population of Don Marcelino, which stood at 45,540 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,269 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,041 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +23.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Lawa (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
