Barangay North Lamidan

Barangay North Lamidan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Don Marcelino, located in the province of Davao Occidental, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay North Lamidan had a population of 2,036. This made it the 11th largest of 15 barangays in Don Marcelino by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay North Lamidan accounted for approximately 4.47% of the total population of Don Marcelino, which stood at 45,540 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,041 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,036 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.2%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay North Lamidan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Don Marcelino is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay North Lamidan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao Occidental, which contains 105 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay North Lamidan ranks 67th by 2020 population.
