Barangay Talagutong (Pob.)

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Talagutong (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Don Marcelino in Davao Occidental, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Talagutong (Pob.) had a population of 6,945. This made it the 1st largest of 15 barangays in Don Marcelino by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talagutong (Pob.) accounted for approximately 15.25% of the total population of Don Marcelino, which stood at 45,540 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 6,898 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 6,945 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.7%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Talagutong (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Don Marcelino is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Talagutong (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
