Barangay Poblacion Ward 8

Situated in Guiuan, Eastern Samar, Barangay Poblacion Ward 8 is one of 60 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion Ward 8 had a population of 2,283. This made it the 4th largest of 60 barangays in Guiuan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion Ward 8 accounted for approximately 4.28% of the total population of Guiuan, which stood at 53,361 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion Ward 8 moving from 2,480 residents to 2,283 residents, an intercensal change of -7.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
