Barangay San Antonio

Barangay San Antonio is a very small barangay in the municipality of Guiuan, located in the province of Eastern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Antonio had a population of 201. This made it the 60th largest of 60 barangays in Guiuan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Antonio accounted for approximately 0.38% of the total population of Guiuan, which stood at 53,361 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Antonio moving from 205 residents to 201 residents, an intercensal change of -2.0%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay San Antonio is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guiuan is a municipality comprising 60 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Antonio, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
