Barangay Balicotoc

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Balicotoc is one of the administrative divisions of Ilog in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balicotoc had a population of 3,420. This made it the 8th largest of 15 barangays in Ilog by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Balicotoc changed from 3,084 to 3,420, a shift of +10.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Ilog. Barangay Balicotoc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ilog is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Balicotoc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
