Barangay Bagumbong

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Bagumbong is one of the administrative divisions of Jala-Jala in Rizal, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagumbong had a population of 3,381. This made it the 4th largest of 11 barangays in Jala-Jala by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagumbong accounted for approximately 9.94% of the total population of Jala-Jala, which stood at 34,017 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,470 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,381 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Bagumbong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jala-Jala is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagumbong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
