Barangay Paalaman

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Paalaman is one of the administrative divisions of Jala-Jala in Rizal, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paalaman had a population of 405. This made it the 11th largest of 11 barangays in Jala-Jala by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paalaman accounted for approximately 1.19% of the total population of Jala-Jala, which stood at 34,017 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Paalaman changed from 343 to 405, a shift of +18.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Jala-Jala. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Paalaman as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jala-Jala is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paalaman, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
