Barangay Palaypalay

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Palaypalay is one of the administrative divisions of Jala-Jala in Rizal, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Palaypalay had a population of 2,366. This made it the 7th largest of 11 barangays in Jala-Jala by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Palaypalay accounted for approximately 6.96% of the total population of Jala-Jala, which stood at 34,017 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Palaypalay changed from 2,325 to 2,366, a shift of +1.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Jala-Jala. Barangay Palaypalay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jala-Jala is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Palaypalay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
