Barangay Punta

Situated in Jala-Jala, Rizal, Barangay Punta is one of 11 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Punta had a population of 3,038. This made it the 6th largest of 11 barangays in Jala-Jala by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Punta accounted for approximately 8.93% of the total population of Jala-Jala, which stood at 34,017 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Punta changed from 3,120 to 3,038, a shift of -2.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Jala-Jala. Barangay Punta is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jala-Jala is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Punta, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
