Situated in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, Barangay Meybio is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Meybio had a population of 2,284. This made it the 16th largest of 26 barangays in Jose Abad Santos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Meybio accounted for approximately 3.11% of the total population of Jose Abad Santos, which stood at 73,381 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,223 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,284 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Meybio is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
