Barangay Molmol

Barangay Molmol forms part of Jose Abad Santos, a municipality in Davao Occidental, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Molmol had a population of 2,258. This made it the 17th largest of 26 barangays in Jose Abad Santos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Molmol accounted for approximately 3.08% of the total population of Jose Abad Santos, which stood at 73,381 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,418 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,258 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -6.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Molmol as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
