Barangay San Isidro forms part of Jose Abad Santos, a municipality in Davao Occidental, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Isidro had a population of 2,195. This made it the 19th largest of 26 barangays in Jose Abad Santos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Isidro accounted for approximately 2.99% of the total population of Jose Abad Santos, which stood at 73,381 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,914 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,195 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -24.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Isidro as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
