Barangay Canituan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Canituan is one of the administrative divisions of Kalilangan in Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Canituan had a population of 1,120. This made it the 12th largest of 14 barangays in Kalilangan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canituan accounted for approximately 2.56% of the total population of Kalilangan, which stood at 43,711 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Canituan moving from 1,289 residents to 1,120 residents, an intercensal change of -13.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Canituan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Kalilangan is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Canituan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
